Who are they, what are they up to and what do they look like…

What’s your name?
Fionn

Who are you in 3 words?
Up, Down, Around

Why did you want to join Team Legs?
I’d like to move into a career with international NGOs and with such niche, useful and effective work an opportunity to work with Team Legs seemed like a great chance.

What are you excited to learn about?
I’m excited to learn about some of the diverse and interesting places the legs end up, the stories of those receiving them and all about how prosthetic are put together and function, its all a fascinating mixture.

What’s your favourite biscuit?
Ginger nut, as spicy as possible.

What’s your name?
Hannah

Who are you in 3 words?
In three words I am: enthusiastic, talkative and positive.

Why did you want to join Team Legs?
I wanted to join Team Legs because it’s great to see an organisation that covers a largely unrepresented sector of development: social care and disability. Since I’ve just finished a degree in international development, I am ready to gain valuable experience in the sector that I am hoping to go into.

What are you excited to learn about?
I am most excited to start to learn how to implement community fundraising skills that up until now I have only seen the academic theory of.

What’s your favourite biscuit?
Chocolate Hobnob.

What’s your name?
Matt

Who are you in 3 words?
Energetic, outdoorsy, happy

Why did you want to join Team Legs?
I joined Team Legs because I’m impressed by the great work that Legs4Africa does, and I wanted to be a part of it. As I enter the NGO sector, Team Legs has offered me a valuable opportunity to develop my practical skills alongside a welcoming and passionate team.

What are you excited to learn about?
I am most excited to get to know community members and build relationships.

What’s your favourite biscuit?
My favourite biscuit is also a chocolate hobnob, it’s got to be dark chocolate though.

What’s your name?
Alex

Who are you in 3 words?
Easy-going, passionate, friendly

Why did you want to join Team Legs?
I joined the Legs4Africa team because I wanted to be a part of a charity making a real difference. Who wouldn’t want to help a charity who use materials headed to landfill to allow people to walk again, as well as giving support through so many different avenues?

What are you excited to learn about?
I’m most looking forward to building fruitful relationships with local people and businesses.

What’s your favourite biscuit?
The idea is in its infancy, but I think the best biscuit must be half Oreo, half chocolate bourbon (with both layers of cream of course).
