At the end of 2020, our increasingly empty-looking workshop was filled to the brim with a van load of stock donated by our friends at Opcare, containing essential items such as stump socks and silicone liners.
These liners have now made their way to the Brother Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College in Nsawam, Ghana, as part of a delivery of prosthetic parts to make approximately 34 legs. These parts will be invaluable both to the practical training of BTPOTC students and to the college’s outreach project.
“The college is very grateful for these donations and will use these components for practical classes and our charity project“Henry Larbi, Principal, BTPOTC
Thank you to OpCare for this generous donation, and to the staff and students at BTPOTC for their work to increase the availability of prosthetic care to amputees in Ghana.
Do you have a prosthetic leg that could be recycled and donated to organisations like the BTPOTC?
