Fundraising Assistant 

2 days per week (Monday to Thursday, flexible), 7 hr/day, £9.90/hr

Bristol and/or Remote

June 15th – September 15th 2022 (flexible)

Reports To

The Fundraising Assistant will report to the Fundraising Manager.

Job Overview

The Fundraising Assistant will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to keep up with recurring tasks, complete set projects in coordination with stakeholders, and create new initiatives. Working with the wider internal stakeholder network (project managers, comms & marketing, donors, partners) will be an everyday activity to keep the recurring tasks up to date. Researching and writing project proposals for major grants, and using database systems for ongoing small grants, will ensure the long-term impact of this role. By working with partners on their independent fundraising strategies and with community organisations on fundraising events, the Fundraising Assistant will have immediate personal impacts on many partners.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Find, research and apply for major grant funding for specific projects in line with long-term fundraising strategy
  • Assist with donor relations database management
  • Create a “toolbox” for use of partners to assist with independent fundraising strategies
  • Liaise with partners on how to support their needs as they transition into independent fundraising
  • Create and carry out an independent fundraising idea
  • Complete research tasks set by the Fundraising Manager

  • Relevant education (demonstrable)
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good quality English 
  • Ability to work creatively and to be data-focused
